This piece is inspired by a 16th century earthenware tile from Syria. The vase has a luscious soft grey pink background contrasted by blue, black, green and red painted and collaged motifs.
This wall vase is a unique work of art. The shape, derived from drawings is cut by hand on a scroll saw from baltic birch ply. Designed to hang directly on a nail or hook with an encased glass tubes on the back that can be removed for easy filling with water and cleaning.
